Lotus Flower Exploration: Join Kristina Hess and Rolling Pines for a Finding Balance Painting Workshop with the option of a Yoga Class to get the evening started.

The beginner Vinyasa yoga class will invite your body and mind to relax and find inspiration and will begin at 5:30, with a reception at 6:30 and the painting will be begin at 7:00.

This time of year we feel the seasons changing from warmer days into cooler brisk air and the anticipation of winter arises. We begin to feel this change mentally and physically, and sometimes it's hard to find balance. This workshop will focus on finding balance among all these changes and busyness as we head into the end of the year. We will use yoga to physically stretch out, let go, and find relaxation throughout the body.

Through painting we will express our emotions, and mentally find balance and create a unique representation. Enjoy an evening full of creativity, inspiration, and expression.

Bio: Kristina has been practicing yoga for more than 9 years and in 2013 completed a 200 hour teacher training at Twin Cities Yoga Collective, centered on a foundation of Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga styles. Ashtanga focuses on the use of poses to end the distractions of the mind, while Vinyasa works to unite the movement of the body to the breath. Her classes place an emphasis on connecting breath to movement, improving balance and flexibility and increasing strength while learning to relax and let go. Her painting style and therapeutic use of the medium, has been through self discovery and interpretation. She has found being creative and painting with a free style intention helps people express themselves in a way they may have never imagined. When people let go of the idea that their painting has to look a certain way and allow their heart to inspire their creativity, amazing pieces of unique art can be created. Participants will leave her class with their personal interpretation of the workshop and be proud, and maybe a little surprised by what they were able to create. Painting with guidance but without boundaries is an amazing therapeutic experience. Let go of the paint by numbers and let your creativity flow!
